I totally agree that A&M & UNL were the big gets in recent expansion.


Mizzou was a throw-in for the SEC to get to 16. The SEC would not have expanded for them IMHO, but since they needed a partner, and Mizzou made themselves available, it was a marriage of convenience. I think the SEC would have much rather had VT or NCSt and Mizzou would have much rather went to the B1G, but none of those avenues were open.

And Kansas? They are so bad in football right now that I'm thinking that even with their basketball cachet, that they'd be a hard sell for the B1G. Plus, like NCSt and VT, they are not free to just get up and leave due to in-state rivals/conference peers.
